  • LEONE is a go: five Veneto innovators unite for next-generation electrolysers

Pietro Fiorentini, Athena, 2RZ, the Department of Chemical Sciences of the University of Padua and UniSMART Foundation have joined forces in the Veneto Region-funded LEONE project — LEan Optimisation of Novel Electrolysers.

Over 30 months, the partners will work to simplify electrolyser manufacturing, improve reliability and reduce dependence on critical and costly materials. The project covers both the electrochemical stack and the auxiliary Balance of Plant systems, strengthening the competitiveness of the Veneto hydrogen supply chain.
